Sony PS3: Stats for Playstation Network and Home
By: Alan Ng | February 25, 2009 | Leave a CommentSony has today revealed some figures for it’s Playstation Network and Home application on the Playstation 3. Since November 11, 2006, Sony has said that 20 million users to this date have registered for the Playstation Network.
As reported from GamesIndustry.biz, the PSN gives Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable owners access to online multiplayer gaming, downloadable digital content and other social features such as Home. They said the number of Home users now exceeds 4 million since its launch back in December, only 2 months ago.
So to reach 20 million users in little over 2 years is quite an impressive feat for Sony, depending on whether you take multiple accounts into consideration or not. Sony must be optimistic for the future judging by these figures.
