Rock Band ‘Unplugged’ announced for Sony PSP
By: Alan Ng | February 25, 2009 | Leave a CommentHarmonix and MTV Games have today announced that a PSP version of Rock Band is currently in development for the handheld console. Titled ‘Unplugged’, the game aims to incorporate the main gameplay from the console versions, while the PSP’s Wifi feature will allow the game to have its very own in-game music store for downloadable content.
As reported by VideoGamer, no dates have been released by Harmonix yet, but as this is just breaking news, we will expect to hear more developments on this game shortly. It has been thought that the game will not make use of any peripherals but instead use the PSP’s keypad and buttons to input sequences in the game.
Since the new versions of the PSP include a built-in microphone, it is possible that they could make use of that for the vocal parts of the game, making it a bit more interesting than having no peripherals of any kind. Let us know what you think.
