Pancake Day 2009: IHOP offers free pancakes

Today is Pancake Day 2009 and National Pancake Day is being sponsored by IHOP, and they are kind enough to be offering free pancakes. IHOP will be giving away these short stacks to guests in the hope that they will the offer help to others.

IHOP did the same on National Pancake Day 2008, and was their largest one-day single event in their 50-year history. Their goal was to raise $750,000, but they managed to top more than $875,000 in donations for the Children’s Miracle Network as well as other charities.

Pancake Day 2009 is going to be a tough one when it comes to trying to beat last year’s, as we are now in a recession and people will find it much harder to spare some cash. Find an IHOP near you.
