UT3 DLC: Xbox 360 loses out, only on PS3 and PC

Xbox 360 owners having been waiting for what seems like an age now for UT3 DLC, which is the upcoming Titan Pack for Unreal Tournament 3. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the pack will not be available for the Xbox 360.

Epic and Midway are only making the 1GB UT3 DLC available for the Sony PS3 and PC. Midway told Joystiq in a recent interview that the reason for this is all to do with the size of the file.

Xbox 360 owners have been told not to worry too much about missing out on the new update, as many of the new features already exist on their versions. So if a friend starts to boast about their new features of UT3 on their PC or PlayStation 3, just tell them that you had those new features long before them.

    You know, this is just pure BS! It has nothing to do with Microsoft either. There is way more to the Titan Pack than just a few maps. There are 2 new gametypes, Titan mode, something like 11 new maps in addition to ones already available on the xbox, and from what I understand a better server browser. I read that the Titan Pack will likely be under 1GB, somewhere around 8-900MB, so the size excuse doesn’t wash! Hey Epic, I want my money back! Mark Rein flat out lied! He said he wouldn’t leave the 360 gamers out in the cold. LIES!!! It’s getting pretty cold out here Mark, when are you planning to let us in?

    UT3 suks i wish i never got it..no real sinle player campaign and average multiplayer. It gathrers dust since week 1.

    UT has always been a multiplayer focused game. You must be a newcomer to the series if you expected a more detailed or story focused campaign mode.

    I think the game is great. Especially WARFARE mode. I don’t know what you mean about the multiplayer being average. It has the standard DM, TDM, CTF, unique VCTF and WARFARE modes, plus the Campaign is really great with the cutscenes and stuff. However, it’s only there to get you familiar with multiplayer. The game is meant to be played multiplayer ultimately. It’s a competitive game meant for team play. The bots should all be replaced by humans for a proper game, they only exist to give you something to do in the absence of your friends.

    I just want the extra content I was promised. I love the game. But then… I can think while shooting. I loved Quake Wars as well for the same reason. Those who just want to run around aimlessly shooting whatever target happens in front of them will want to look elsewhere, this game requires thought to play any mode other than DM, as do many great but poorly received games these days.

    JUST GIVE ME MY 360 TITAN PACK EPIC!!!
