Rockstar has spoken out today on their views on downloading game content. It comes after the successes of GTA IV: The Lost and Damned DLC package that was recently released straight onto the Xbox Live Marketplace.
It turns out that they actually believe DLC to be the ‘future’ of gaming. Quite a bold statement to make there, but who is to argue with them following their recent adventures and success with Grand Theft Auto.
In a report over at VG247, GTA development chief Jeronimo Barrera stated, “I think people are seeing this as the future of gaming, and we see it. Obviously we’re going to continue to create more games, full games, but we’re also excited about what we’re going to do with Xbox Live and DLC.”
Do you think DLC is the ‘future’ of gaming? Of course more content for games is always good, as long is the price is fair as well. Let us know your opinions on this.
