Last week saw the unveiling of the HTC Touch Pro2, and the handset certainly got a lot of attention. The maker of the handset has promised that the device will be made available to all the major markets, this includes North America.
A launch date has not been announced in any country, but we should expect to see the HTC Touch Pro2 sometime in the second quarter. If the new handset follows the same pattern as the original Touch Pro, then we could see a Europe release in the summer and a U.S. release by the fall.
The new HTC handsets has much more to offer than the original Touch Pro, the new model is now a slider with its landscape-oriented sliding QWERTY keyboard with a 3.6-inch touchscreen. The Touch Pro2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, but will use Windows Mobile 6.5 when made available.
