NASA gains support for working MMO title

NASA have secured the services of various developers for partnership work on their MMO project, Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond. This is quite an adventurous move for NASA with former NASA astronauts, scientists and engineers taking part in the project.

The game will be based on the Unreal Engine 3 and NASA will now be helped by developers Virtual Heroes, who had previously worked on America’s Army. Joining them for the experience are Information in Place and Project Whitecard.

Daniel Laughlin from NASA Learning Technologies had this to say about the game, ”We want to create a fun, compelling gaming experience that will give players the chance to learn about science and engineering careers while they play the game.”

We will keep you informed on the development on the game, stay tuned.
