By: Alan Ng | February 16, 2009 | 3 CommentsFresh from the Mobile World Congress, Sony Ericsson has announced the world’s first 12.1MP camera phone which they hope to release on the market in the second half of 2009.
The phone is to be nicknamed the ‘Idou’ and as well as being the first phone with ground-breaking image features, it will also feature a 3.5-inch touchscreen, 16:9 widescreen screen ratio and excellent music features thanks to its Walkman platform.
Other interesting details reported by TechRadar include a brand new interface system for the phone, which is designed with ideas from the Symbian Foundation.
What do you think of this latest bit of news? More and more technology in our mobile phones are being designed at frightening speeds. It was not so long ago where top of the line digital cameras offered 12.1MP specs, but it looks as if we’ll able to get our hands on this kind of imaging power in a mobile phone at the end of the year.
