
Square Enix puts in bid to buy out Eidos
By: Alan Ng | February 12, 2009 | Leave a CommentSquare Enix have revealed that they have put in a bid to buy UK publisher Eidos with the bid being tabled at £84.3 million, according to GamesIndustry.biz.
Negotiations are now in place as the Eidos board of directors have agreed to forward this huge offer to shareholders. Square Enix hopes that this move will ‘reinforce the Square Enix Group’s position as one of the world’s leaders in interactive entertainment with a broad portfolio of market leading franchises’.
So could we be seeing a Lara Croft cameo in a Final Fantasy game in the future? Maybe I’m getting carried away there slightly..check out the full article in the link above.
