Sony PS3 to get game and movie on one Blu-ray
By: Alan Ng | February 12, 2009 | 1 CommentJohn Koller, Director of Hardware Marketing for the PS3 has revealed that Sony intends to release Full games and Blu-Ray movies on one single disc in the future, thanks to all the storage space that is available on the Blu-Ray format.
If you recall, Sony attempted this move with the addition of John Woo’s Hard Boiled action film of Blu-Ray along with the release of shooter Stranglehold a while back. In a report over at Video Business, Koller stated, ”There are a lot of developers who say, we have this game based on a movie, wouldn’t it be great to marry these concepts? We will definitely see this stuff this year.”
What do you guys think of this idea? Sounds like an interesting one, though who knows what sort of extra charges they will be making for these special combos, we will have to wait and hear for more details.
