Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ‘Will’ be out this year

Following recent speculation regarding the release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Activision has today confirmed that the game will ‘definately’ be out this year.

Activision Pubishing chief Mike Griffith stated in a conference call with investors yesterday that “2009 is going to be a very exciting year for the franchise as we expect this year’s launch is likely going to be the most anticipated title of all of 2009.”

With Infinity Ward behind the helm again, this is game is going to be hyped up to the max with gamers , following the success of Modern Warfare. The good news is while we all wait for the sequel, there looks to be a healthly line up of titles in 2009 to keep us busy.
