Call of Duty 6 not out for a few years on Xbox 360 and PS3

Our favorite Call of Duty game was COD 4 Modern Warfare, although it did get boring after a while and Call of Duty world at war arrived just in time with a fresh look at the gameplay.
Even though it went back in time and included tanks it was great to see something different, but we still like modern warfare more and look forward to the next version.
Now some gamers may find this hard to believe, why would some people say Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is not COD 6? If this is the case then it would mean that COD 6 will not be out for another year or two.
Modern Warfare 2 is commonly known as Call of Duty 6, although some people claim its not because the last one was called “Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare” and as such they feel that Modern Warfare 2 will be COD5 and not World at War.

The reason why the game was called “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” is because it was the Fourth iteration of the game series and they wanted to give it a subtitle.
When world at war was release, they probably felt that by having a sub title to the game would be sufficient enough to differentiate itself from the other games. So to me (and many other):
Call of Duty: World at War = COD5
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 = COD6
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 = COD6
So which ever way it’s called, the next call of duty game will be COD6 in many people’s eyes. And the fact that’s its Modern Warfare, it will sell even more than world at war and COD4.

definitly call of duty 6. though they’ll probably shy away from the number game. its like final fantasy 35, or now 27. its stupid to keep going up in numbers. no one is gonna get confused as to what order its going in. just have call of duty: “insert cool title here”. the next one could be call of duty: derpderder. i would still play it because call of duty is one of the greatest game series. i just put call of duty 4 in for the first time in a month or so, i used to play it every day up until i got it for christmas. its remarkable how much better call of duty world at war looks. its so much more crisp and clean. COD 4 is still an awesome game, but its graphics look terrible compared to world at war. bottom line is that im sure they’ll make graphics that will make you crap your pants when you put it in. just like i did when i popped in COD 4 for the first time. they make great games, and i will continue to play nothing but call of duty until a better game comes along. (not likely)

When “Call of Duty: United offensive” came out in 2004 some stupid people were calling it “Call of Duty 2″. Then Call of Duty 2 was released in 2005…

Call of Duty 5 will be out when you see a game sitting on the shelf in your local games store with the words “Call of Duty 5″ printed on the cover.
Anybody who is going around calling any game currently out call of duty 5 or call of duty 6 or whatever is just plain stupid.

It is neither. Just read what the Call of Duty executives said about the titles.
CoD WaW = 3.5
Cod Modern 2 = 4.5
You kids need to read what Infinityward and Treyarch have to say.
