Most windows users hardly have a kind word to say about Microsoft Corp.’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Vista operating system, it’s also widely reported that many users tried Vista for a while and then switched back to Windows XP. Then you have the millions that never tried Vista and just stuck with XP.
So you could say that Windows Vista was a flop, although we enjoyed it for many months before moving to Mac OS and never looking back. Now its time for Microsoft to try and win back some of its fans with a Vista alternative.
This goal may be achieved with Microsoft’s new Windows 7 system, which you can download currently in a “beta” form from Microsoft’s site. There are some big changes in Windows 7 and one of the most obvious changes is Windows 7’s tolerance for low-powered computers.
Its well known that with each Windows OS upgrade you need a more powerful computer, but with Windows 7 this is not the case. Windows 7 will run just fine on a high spec dual-core computer and also good on an Asus Eee PC. This is directly to combat the popularity of open source operating systems like Linux.

I am supriced of the many users accepting Vista as the better version of XP. I started with the fist Windows version 3.11/351 and at any time i came across a Windows version which was developed in manner user community could operate with. Unfortunately all version had a staggering number of security issues as well as bugs making the Os become very vulnerable, unstable and an easy source of scripts attacks. The reason is based on the Microsoft Corp arrogance not to release an open source version so that people like my self were able to add ideas and corrections. Since i operate in the field of Network security using Cisco and many other products, I work also with Unix and Linux. While Unix is used at work, privately I have become an addicted user of Linux which due to his open source offers many people the opportunity to customize it and to find direct support from professionals. Linux has become very user friednly adapting similar graphical interface as Windows, but it is much more stable then Windows which main issues are never so easy solvable. In addition since many uses Windows OS’s the Web is just over filled from dodgy freeware promising a quick solution. A WORD OF ADVICE: NEVER AND EVER TRUST ANY PROGRAM WHICH HASN’T BE SIGNED OFF BY MICROSOFT AS MOST HAVE A SMALL SCRIPT WHICH SIMILAR TO A TROYAN VIRUS Used mainly as a marketing tool. EVEN WORST SOME HAVE HIDDEN VIRUSES WHICH STANDARD VIRSU SCANNER CANNOT REVEAL IN THE FIRST MOMENT. AND BY THE TIME IT DOES YOUR PC WILL NEED TO BE REBUILD TO ENSURE A FULL VIRUS FREE PC.
If user community would make use of Linux OS you would also gain the advantage to learn more about Operating systems. I am surprised by the amount of ignorant users unable to understand the basics of OS functionality. But do not get me wrong. These so called ignorant user have no fault on their own. In fact it was and is Microsoft whose main goal is to create a society of ignorant users by offering a so called fully functional self automated voice recognition Operating system. The aim is to simplify Operating system usage that even a child can simply use it. They already started advertising an 8 years old girl “playing” with MS movie maker to show how easy this can be used. This is the amazing idea of Microsoft. Unfortunately by creating a society of simply users whose knowledge is limited by clicking on icons they create a society of pure genuine idiots, whose personal information will be then available to have for the purpose of marketing projects. Microsoft is so becoming one of the biggest marketing company worldwide holding billions of personal data about their user community. Imagine the power having such amount of detailed information. The question is what do they do with these? This is when i welcome the hacker communities who keeps trying to hack inside the secrets of Microsoft as it is time that the world is told what are their real intentions since Microsoft is the only company holding his operating system with a great deal of secrecy by not proving the public with free access to its open source.
Yes Windows XP is a total failure together with all the others developments. And the fact they demand such high price shows their success in having already created a large society of ignorant users who don’t seem to see beyond the brand of Microsoft Windows OS. This has guaranteed Microsoft a fortune as we all now buy without even questioning the products functionality and as many bugs this may have as more attractive it may become for the many users who likes to “play” instead to think for them self.
However the fact is that Microsoft as conquered most of the market and as long there are no people to question but also act to what they say, Windows operating systems will keep invading the market becoming the most dominant and insecure platform proding MS with more and more data of all users.
New and old windows os have one special in common: they all have been developed to simplify thinking process but also they have complicated many genuine users life as their system are totally unreliable, unstable and have a lots of security issues which many will never learn. Therefore as long they keep managing to entertain large users community who don’t really question them, they will remain the dominant operating system for dummies….
REMEMBER:
Terrarum orbis est noster - The world is ours
…and not Microsoft
Despite my sympathy for Windows products, I still use XP as my experience always showed me that Microsoft new products were always shipped with massive issues and only after service packs corrections were released there was some improvement which made it possibly less unreliable. That never mend a reason for me to use it. I only did so to test the products under specific requirement. Unfortunately there ius very little positive i can say about Vista. The only positive impulse Microsoft has created is to move the development of Hardware products to new levels as these needs to be adapted accordingly to Microsoft. probably without Microsoft intervention the hardware development will be much slower. This has provided mass market new affordable technologies offering higher hardware performance which mend improved and faster PC for the common users. perhaps Microsoft existence is a vital component in the development of new technologies and markets, but they should really consider provide free cost Operating system from now on and release an open source version so that the world can develop its own customized version as Linux has done since it was released.
My expectation to Windows 7 are equal as Vista, meaning that i am expecting ONLY main problems and hidden illegal scripts one of which will be certainly to ensure their products cannot be used without popper licensing. That it self would be a reason for me not to buy it. However being familiar with most programming language i am certain we will find a method to freeware Windows 7 to operate without the need of registration. However it will all depends how far Microsoft plans to obtain personal data for its user community and by which methods as many in my opinion may dispute with current legislation of data protection act and others. But let’s wait and see as i am confident Windows 7 will be one more flop in the big portfolio of Microsoft main flops….But as we all know, they will still make the one important thing…a lot of profit from a world they have conquired and now the nearly own…what a shame.
Come on!!, for those who dare to say vista is better than XP are completely wrong, this system utilizes almost 30 of the resources of the machine ONLY for running the OS, it’s true it is a bit faster and looks real nice, but come on, desktop themes for windows XP can do the same, for me it does not work because I use a lot of old software, and not because I want it, it’s only because my work need it. For those who need to have more than one PC FOR WORK a single pc is too expensive due all the components needed to run vista, ONLY FOR RUNNIG the OS you need to spend a lot of money, I am not saying changing OS system are a bad thing, but come on!! VISTA?? You got to be kidding me, it really is an epic fail, not only for those who actually work with it also for those who love to play, this vista system reminds me the windows XP 64, it was good, but IT WAS AN EPIC FAIL TOO, so just let’s be honest, you need to spend much money for something that does not work well.
Let me set the record straight, Vista sucked, it took up too much space and used too much power, and it didn’t really give you any advantages over XP. Of course people can get used to it, but just because you have gotten used to the smell of cow crap dosn’t mean that it dosn’ smell that bad
