If you are in the market for a portable storage device then you should consider a SSD and not a standard hard drive. There are two reasons for this, one is that they are quieter and the second is that they will not use as much power. With this is mind Transcend have launched the new stylish SSD18M 1.8-inch SSD.
The new form of storage devices offers both speed and durability; this new drive from Transcend offers both eSATA and USB connection interfaces, as well as offering fashionable good looks but with innovative new technology.
This new storage device does not have any moving parts inside, which should have a longer shelf life; instead, NAND flash memory is where things are stored. This technology eliminates the possibility of mechanical failure. Transcend’s new 1.8″ portable solid state drives are available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB capacities
