Sony have announced that a firmware update for the PSP will be made available soon, there is not much details on update 5.03, but the small update is promised to improve system software stability while using some of the features.
PlayStation Portable owners are now asking what other changes will update 5.03 bring, and that is a good question. It is also expected that the firmware update will patch the user mode exploit hole, the same one that GripShift recently found.
Before you go ahead and update your Sony PSP, do not update if you have a TA-088 v3 motherboard on a PSP-2000 Slim or PSP-3000 if you still want to run homebrew code. The Sony PSP 5.03 update is now available, see links below.
