A lot can be said about Microsoft, but one thing we do know, and that it that they are a fair company. Microsoft are sorry for all the hassle that Vista has caused people, and as an apology, they will be offering their Windows 7 operating system for free for Vista customers.
Windows Vista was not as bad as some people made out, but I and many other have never been a fan, and it is for that reason why Microsoft are offering this gesture. The software giant is turning a PR disaster into a positive one.
Microsoft will be willing to offer Windows 7 free for customers who purchased Vista with a new computer within a certain period. As always, there is a catch, and that qualifying date is thought to be from July 1st 2009.

I have to say that’s pretty decent of them. From what I’ve seen of W7 it’s Vista without the bugs, a few cool new features and less of a desire to Mac OS. Shame they kept the Vista interface as it’d be nice to feel like it’s something new.
hi i am ankit
thats crap. win 7 = vista sp2. why charge us for a update.
And the taskbar in win 7 looks like crap.
Its a lie, it is not free, im going to be stuck with vista forever ahhhhh stupid p.o.s. computer
I have got Windows Vista Premium on Sept. 19th, 2007 which was already installed when I purchase the new computer.
