Microsoft to offer Windows 7 free to Vista customers
By: Peter Chubb | January 20, 2009 | 5 CommentsA lot can be said about Microsoft, but one thing we do know, and that it that they are a fair company. Microsoft are sorry for all the hassle that Vista has caused people, and as an apology, they will be offering their Windows 7 operating system for free for Vista customers.
Windows Vista was not as bad as some people made out, but I and many other have never been a fan, and it is for that reason why Microsoft are offering this gesture. The software giant is turning a PR disaster into a positive one.
Microsoft will be willing to offer Windows 7 free for customers who purchased Vista with a new computer within a certain period. As always, there is a catch, and that qualifying date is thought to be from July 1st 2009.
