In the coming months, Cisco Systems will be launching a new product that is expected to shake up the technology industry. Cisco Systems, the largest maker of networking equipment plans to launch a server computer which has been equipped with sophisticated virtualization software.
Cisco will be on a collision course with Hewlett-Packard, Dell and I.B.M., who have all enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship, now they are set for an all-out-war as the move could disrupt that comfortable symbiosis.
Cisco Systems has been at the top of their game by selling switches and routers, it is these products that directs the rivers of data flowing between computing systems. The company makes most of its $40 billion a year from this technology.
