LG Lotus hands-on: review and photos

When a flip phone is released, you expect it to look a certain way, so when the LG Lotus was announced we all looked at it in a strange way. The phone looks a bit funny for the first time, but when you get to see the new handset in the flesh, it looks fine once you look past that very square shape.

Engadget Mobile had the chance to spend some time with the LG Lotus flip phone, and they have offered their review as well as a number of photos in the hope that we might start to fall in love with the square phone. If you send many messages, then the phone design could benefit you.

The matte black model that Engadget Mobile has a hands-on with is a little plain looking, but the stylized purple version has a more tasteful look. The standard flip phone has been designed the way it is because it fits on the face perfectly, but the square design looks a bit more awkward up against the face.
