Apple 15-inch MacBook Air Rumors: True or False?

There have been rumors that Apple is working on a 15-inch version of their MacBook Air; their current model is a 13.3-inch. Appl.Pro is a Chinese website, and their track record is mixed over their rumors that they post.

The rumor states that the 15-inch version will be out later this year, and they will offer more details as they get it. As yet, there has not been any conformation to this story, but it is no secret that Apple users will welcome a larger MacBook Air.

Apple always likes to be a little different, and launching a 15-inch model would go against this thinking. My cousin has a new MacBook Air and does all of his work on it, I have to say that it is on the small side and I am sure that he would much prefer a 15-inch model.

Are these rumors true or false, only time will tell?

  1. Lou Metts says:

Almost certainly false. Remember that the MacBook Air came out as Apple’s take on an ultra-portable lightweight “subnotebook”. A 15″ version wouldn’t make sense, especially given that it would compete against the much-better-featured 15″ MacBook Pro.

I have a MacBook Air which is perfect for traveling with. I do not think a 15″ is needed because it will defeat the purpose of a ultra-light portable and it will cannibalized the Pro laptop line. This just does not make any sense at all.
