$30 for Microsoft Xbox Live Gold Subscription: $20 price cut
By: Peter Chubb | January 19, 2009 | Leave a CommentThere is no denying that what makes the Xbox 360 so great is Xbox Live, but there is one major drawback, and that is the cost. Amazon are now addressing this problem and have introduced a $20 price cut, so now Microsoft Xbox Live Gold Subscription now costs just under $30.
Microsoft introduced a number of price cuts to their Xbox 360 consoles in the hope of extending their lead over rival the PlayStation 3, but Sony offers their PlayStation Network for free and that still makes it a very attractive offer in these struggling times.
Amazon passed on this saving on Sunday, instead of the normal $49.99 you will now only pay $29.97 for Xbox Live. This covers a full 12 months of complete Xbox Live access, but it is not known if Microsoft will follow suit and make this a more permanent price.
