Palm Pre to use Centro and Treo 800w battery

Over the past few days, we have learned a great deal about the upcoming Palm Pre, but what was not said at the recent keynote were details of the battery. We did not know the size or life of the battery; we can now tell you that the Palm Pre will use an 1150mAh, the same battery used in the Palm Centro and the Palm Treo 800W.

It was PreCentral that managed to get the details from Palm; they just asked them to remove the battery cover, expecting them to refuse. They shocked them by removing the battery cover, which is when they saw that they had seen that same battery before.

The battery that was in the Pre is an 1150mAh, but it is expected that Palm may use the extended battery, the 1350mAh. There are those who might think that the battery is a bit on the small side, but we have no idea how much power the new webOS demands.
