New Eizo FlexScan S2242W-H and S2232W-E LCDs
By: Daniel Chubb | January 16, 2009
These are the impressive Eizo FlexScan S2242W-H and S2232W-E LCD monitors, which were unveiled by Eizo today with the aim of filling a gap in the display market.
They can do this thanks to their ability of overcoming normal color limits. Both the 1920×1200 Eizo FlexScan S2242W-H and 1680×1050 S2232W-E cover 92 percent of the NTSC color space and 95 percent of the Adobe RGB space.
Normally we see low-color panels when it comes to 22-inch displays but these new FlexScan displays are perfect for editing still and moving images. Their performance is boasted thanks to true black-to-white pixel response times of 12ms and high static contrast ratios of 1,200:1.
If you care about the environment then you will be glad to know that both displays are eco-friendly with a low-power mode and auto-adjusting backlight. The S2242W-H is priced at $784 (when converted to dollars) and S2232W-E for $705 with a release date of February 5th for Eizo’s country. (no U.S. date is known at this time).
