Johnson Controls re3 concept: parts to appear in production cars

We have all heard of Johnson Controls, as they are the supplier of Tier 1 interior parts for the automotive world. They normally supply items such as seats and electronic gadgets, but they have decided to design the re3 concept, which has been on show at the Detroit Auto Show.

Johnson Controls decided to build this complete car so that they could show off some of their latest parts that are destined for production cars. The Johnson Controls re3 concept has joined a growing trend by offering some green systems.

These systems include a plug-in hybrid powertrain; this comes complete with a lithium ion battery pack. The concept car also has a number of other eco-friendly renewable interior materials. Johnson Controls wanted to show that they are now able to offer not only customers but also automakers directly as well.
