Intel (INTC) have now posted their Q4 earnings for 2008, their revenues were $8.2 billion, with an operating income of $5.1 billion and a net income of $234 million and an EPS of $0.04. These Intel results include the billion dollar negative impact from the reduction in the carrying value of computer chip Company’s Clearwire investment.
For the total year for Intel, revenues were $37.6 billion with an operating income of $9 billion and a net income of $5.3 billion, EPS was at $0.92. Intel managed to generate at least $11 billion of extra cash for operations.
Intel paid cash dividends of $3.2 billion and used $7.1 billion to repurchase 324 million of shares. 2009 looks set to be a much tougher year for Intel as the computer market is slowing down in many areas. Intel will have to rely on strong Netbook sales, so sales of their Atom processor keeps increasing.
