Reasons not to download Windows 7 Beta: data loss when expires
Filed under: Computers, Software

Today is the day where you will be able to download Windows 7 Beta; Which Microsoft hope will be a better success than their current OS, Vista. There are only 2.5 million downloads available, but is it worth the download as the operating system will expire on August 1, 2009. This could actually lead to loss of data.
ZDNet.com has been thinking hard about this problem, and has formulated some good reasons not to download Windows 7 Beta. We all know that a beta version is all about finding bugs, and as good as Windows 7 sounds, there could still be a potential of data loss.
I share the same views as ZDNet.com, I do not like taking risks, and the idea of losing data is something that I am not prepared to do. Another reason not to download the OS is the fact that if you are still running XP, you might have some trouble finding drivers for your hardware, so that it will run on Windows 7.
