3 Steps to Home Networking In Windows 7 Beta

Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) is about to launch Windows 7 beta, this new operating system will allow users to link their computers to other devices in the home in 3 easy steps. This new feature is called Home Group, and was shown to those who attending CES 2009 on Wednesday.

For most consumers, setting up a home network is a hard task, so will not undertake the job, but the new feature in Windows 7, Home Group, makes setting up the home network an easy task. Windows 7 OS will automatically network with any device in your home that is connected to the Internet.

This is just one of the benefits that Windows 7 has over Vista, said, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, while addressing those at his opening keynote. He said that Microsoft were on track to developing the best version of Windows yet. Ballmer said that their aim was simplicity, reliability, and speed, and is seems as if the ingredients are all there.

    I have so far failed to get windows 7 to connect to anything that is not windows 7.

    I used to able to log in to my iMAC over my network and have full access. Now I can only see the Public folder.

    I can see my network drive in the network folder, but I can’t access it.

    I was forced to buy windows 7 because vista was so bad, and now I find the it won’t do the one thing I want to do with it.
