Microsoft unveils Mediaroom Anytime TV at CES 2009
By: Peter Chubb | January 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentMicrosoft Corp. did their best to keep people interested at their keynote at the 2009 International CES today. There were a few things that Microsoft spoke about, and one of those was Mediaroom Anytime, which is a cool feature that is set for the Microsoft Mediaroom multimedia and IPTV platform.
This system allows viewers to watch TV when they wish. As well as the usual Mediaroom features, Remote Digital Video Recording and DVR Anywhere the new Microsoft Mediaroom Anytime feature will take time-shifted TV to a new level.
Viewers will be able to gain access to shows that had been previously aired direct from their Interactive Program Guide. Viewers will also be able to restart currently airing shows; this is done without the need of preplanning. The new service will be made available to consumers in the second half of 2009.
