Microsoft CES 2009: Halo Wars February 28 launch
By: Peter Chubb | January 8, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe mentioned a few days ago that Microsoft will not be bringing much to CES 2009, and that was confirmed by their low key keynote. What we did get was a bit of good news for gamers; it seems that Halo Wars will be launched three days sooner, with a February 28 launch.
A demo for the game will be made available on February 5, on Xbox Live. Halo 3: ODST was also spoken about, as yet there is no official date, but Robbie Bach did confirm that it would be some time in 2009, a bit vague on that one then.
So Bach announced the only two bits of news that gamers wanted to know, now he had to try and keep the audience focused. He decided to talk up their Zune audio player, which looks a bit dated when compared to the iPod Touch from Apple. Bach then thought it was a great time to bore the audience at his keynote, he did this by saying that 2008 had been a great year for the Xbox 360, and saying that Microsoft had sold 28 million units so far. Who cares about that, all the audience wants to see are new products.
