Microsoft CES 09: Xbox 360 2009 plans

CES 2009 for Microsoft was always going to be a tough one this year, both Steve Ballmer and Robbie Bach had to discus about the products that they already had on offer. Ballmer was able to talk about Windows 7 Beta 1 for his keynote, and Bach was able to talk about Halo Wars and the fact that it will be launched three days early.

However the rest of the keynote was a bit lame. Bach tried to stir things up a little by talking about what 2009 holds for the Xbox 360. He spoke about the state of the Xbox 360, as well as the new Xbox Live Community Game Kodu, which is a little like LitleBigPlanet on the PS3.

So what has Microsoft got in store for the Xbox 360 in 2009, well Halo Wars February 28th launch, Halo 3: ODST from Bungie, sometime this year, and finally Community Game Kodu, formally Boku. Well that is it really, nothing exiting. There seems to be a pattern going on, as Apple’s keynote at Macworld was also a lot of nothing, not a great start to 2009.

Have you forgot about SO4? Also, Kodu is more of a fully 3D, games creation platform where-as LBP is more of a Psudo-3D platform type game. The similarities end when you see that Kodu is program to create games and LBP is a game created by a program with an excellent level editor.
