HQ 3D on Sony PS3 at CES 2009
Filed under: Gaming, Sony Playstation 3

When you think about 3D, you think about those dodgy 3D movies of the 80’s. Things have changed a lot over the years, and people were eager to see what advances have been made to this technology. There is one place where you can go to see this, and that is at CES 2009, and Sony has an impressive HQ 3D display running on a PS3 at their show booth.
If you go there expecting to learn about the system then you will be disappointed, as Sony will not tell you anything. Arstechnica.com found that out for themselves when they visited the booth. All you can do is look at what Sony has achieved with 3D, and that is it.
What is evident is that the quality of the 3D is truly amazing. Sony was showing of their latest gadget with Wipeout HD, which was running on True HD. The guys over at Arstechnica.com got so excited at one stage that they wanted to purchase it there and then.
