COD5 Boredom: Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 gamers, are you bored?

When we first heard details about Call of Duty: World at War way before its release, we hated the idea of COD turning backwards to WWII. Then once we managed to get a hands-on with the game it took us by surprise, we were very impressed.

Like other gamers, COD 5 was going to be very different for us as we were not going to enter the prestige mode and stop at rank 65. The thought of losing all your guns seemed not worth it, but many hours of gameplay later and after reaching rank 65 we have come to see that the game gets very boring fast.

It seems that the prestige modes are a great idea and needed to stop the game entering deep boredom. Has this happened to you, are you bored of COD: WaW yet?

The need to keep ranking up is what keeps the game interesting and take that away by reaching the highest rank or not wanting to rank up anymore makes the game very boring and less appealing to us. Xbox 360 and Sony PS3 gamers, has this happened to you?

    well for me and my girlfriend we love playing cod 5 but the comments is some what right though i did get bored even though im almost at level 65 but my girlfriend on other hand loves the competitiveness it brings out of her so shes into it more than me and i owned both of cod games…. i went back to playing burnout paradise man that game is good

    I am starting to get bored now that you bring it up. The game is great but now even the different maps are getting repetative. We need two things right away. New Multiplayer maps and some new Nazi Zombie maps! Bring em on!

    I got the game on release on PS3 and I got bored just before Xmas and I’m only on level 37 no Prestige. There’s something missing here cos I used to play COD4 like maniac and not got bored even on 5th Prestige where I ended my COD4 Career for COD5. I wish I didnt sold it, anyway Resistance 2 is way too good and I will play that until COD MW2 comes out

    I played cod4 online a whole lot on live with friends and never once considered buying cod 5. in fact none of us did. once we heard it was cod 4s engine and world war 2 it was pretty obvious it would eventually feel the same, and might only fell fresh as it was a ‘different’ game. oh well ill definatly buy cod6 or MW2 as infinity ward make it and will probably try to switch up the game mechanics abit rather than make a contiuation like cod waw

    I like cod5 very much. But now we are 10 prestige(finalie)
    me and my friend want new maps.
    also i want them to change the places for planting the bomb; Some part of the maps aren’t used (explored).
    exemple the south east of the chirch (outskirt)
    this also can be done in cod4
    Why not plant the bomb in the swimming pool?
    I hate the tanks. But maybe we can have a map almost for tanks alone; (10 tanks on a very big map with special perks;

    yea, they could have simply fixed this issue by arranging the perks and RED DOT perk similar to COD4. Most people do NOT want to prestige because it takes 75 kills alone to get a red dot, which makes it somewhat easier. Also, just the arrangement of the perks are worse than that of COD4. Double tap, sleight of hand, and bandollier are to name a few.

    hey Ryan the perks in cod5 are nearly all the same than in cod4 so they must be worse in cod4, too. … I love cod5 so much cause WW2 is much better…the weapon reacoil much more realistic and hard to control…I love cod4,too,but cod5 is a lil bit better than cod4

    I like both Cod5 and 4 but I have a problem with the ranking system I feel that you should be playing against people of your own caliber I think I’m lv 40 but I hate playing against those that have gone around 5 times and seem to hit me around every corner. I do hope for new maps because these are getting old, the Whole zombie thing was amazing but seems to lack the use for more than 1 strategy. Since WaW went back to the WWII genre I was kinda hoping for a trench map it seemed logical to me, but anyways I did like the improvements to the game since now enemies don’t endlessly respawn until you run to the checkpoint, seriously what was the point in even using a gun in Cod 4 they would just come back anyways I did most of the campaign by running in and knifing people. other than that I’ve been Cod free fro 2 months now because of the repetitious gameplay and the fact that I have a 360 so the online play isn’t free, boo microsoft, I’m getting a PS3 soon.

    I think you should try out new stuff and glitches. maybe practice sniping so you can get all headshots or something. even though that well make you no life.
