Sony PS3 price cut coming says Xbox 360 product manager
Filed under: Gaming, Sony Playstation 3

Aaron Greenberg, Xbox 360 product manager has been talking about the Sony PS3, he said that he expects Sony to cut the price of their console sooner rather than later. It seems strange that Greenberg would say that, it seems he knows more than those at Sony.
In an interview with Edge, Greenberg said that he expects to see a price drop for the Sony PlayStation 3 within the next couple of months. He said “We’re frankly surprised it’s taken this long.” Let us hope that he is right, Sony need to do something if they hope to have strong sales in this current credit crisis.
Wii sales now stand at 45 million units, and it was launched a year after the Xbox 360. Microsoft knows that they have no way of competing with the Nintendo Wii, so their main rival is the Sony PS3. Sony need this price cut if they wish to stay competitive with the Xbox 360.
