Estee Lauder wrinkle cream advert banned

Estee Lauder has had to withdraw one of their adverts for wrinkle cream; the beauty company claimed that the cream would make wrinkles “disappear instantly.” Watchdogs have said that the commercials were misleading.

The Advertising Standards Authority has said that the Tri-Aktiline Instant Deep Wrinkle Filler by Estee Lauder did not stand up to scrutiny. Estee lauder claimed that seven out of ten women who used the new cream said that they noticed visible filling of wrinkles immediately. They then claim that those women who used the cream for a month noticed an improvement in the appearance of lines.

A woman who purchased the cream complained to the ASA, they then launched an inquiry and found that only 25 women had tried the cream, the effects of the cream were judged with photos only. Tri-Aktiline costs £25 for a 30ml tube, no matter what cream you have they will never help fight the aging process.
