Asustek Computer decided to show off their latest device, the Asus S121 Netbook. This latest netbook is ultra-thin and very light and features two new technologies inside. The first is the world’s largest SSD, 512GB. The second is the operating system; Asus are using Microsoft’s Windows 7 which is yet to be released.
The Asus S121 Netbook is just under an inch thick and measures 11.7-inches by 8.3-inches, and weighs about 3Ibs. The small device has a touchscreen and uses software that Asustek developed, allowing for easy touch navigation.
Asus and Microsoft have been working closely together to get Asus’s touch mode software to work well with Windows 7 OS. The Asus S121 netbook will use a 1.33GHz Intel Atom microprocessor. All of this comes at a price, which will be around US$1,649; this is due to the huge 512GB Solid State Drive.
