New 17-inch Apple MacBook Pro: 8 hour battery life
By: Peter Chubb | January 6, 2009 | Leave a CommentPhilip Schiller has been doing a great job so far at his keynote at Macworld, and the best product so far has to be the new 17-inch Apple MacBook Pro. As you would expect Apple have worked hard to try and produce something special and an 8 hour battery life is certainly that.
The 17 inch Apple MacBook Pro is the lightest and thinnest 17-inch notebook in the world. The notebook has a 1920 x 1200 display and a contrast ratio of 700:1, and there is a $50 anti-glare option, which has to be worth the money.
So what is inside, firstly there is a new generation of C2D CPUs, and support for up to 8GB of RAM. Do not forget the new NVIDIA graphics options and up to 250GB SSD. There are a number of connections on the new 17-inch Apple MacBook Pro, such as Mini DisplayPort, FireWire 800, USB and MagSafe.
The new notebook will be shipping at the end of January and starts at $2799.
