Macworld update: SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone, Slingbox HD Streaming for Mac
Filed under: News

Way back in June we saw a proof-of-concept of SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone. Sling Media hopes to take the spotlight away for the last Apple Keynote, they are to announce that the app is almost ready for users to download and install.
That is not all; Sling Media are also to announce another prototype, SlingPlayer for Mac HD. This will allows Mac-using Slingbox PRO-HD owners to stream high-def material direct to their Mac. As usual Sling Media will have to submit their new software to Apple for certification.
As yet there are no pricing details for the SlingPlayer iPhone app, the good news is, SlingPlayer for Mac HD will be free. Mac users will be able to use Safari or Firefox to get both HD streaming and Live TV within Sling.com.
