LCD panels stopped decreasing in first half of January 2009

LCD panel makers are now controlling the supply, in the hope of trying to stabilize prices, as LCD panel prices for both monitors and notebooks have stopped decreasing. The price decrease is in the first half of January 2009.

Prices for LCD panels have been decreasing for seven months in a row; prices have now stopped falling and will remain the same as the prices were in the second half of December 2008. It is thought that some panels will see a price increase.

This is not good news for consumers, or for the companies that supply the panels. Consumers and businesses now have much less money to spend in 2009, so this news will be a huge blow. Now is the time when we need to see the price of electronics come down, if prices start to go up, you will see the likes of LG, Samsung and other companies start to report huge loses?
