MSI Wind U115 Netbook: Specs and Review

MSI has finally announced the specs on their new Wind U115 netbook. MSI have billed the device as a hybrid storage notebook, as it uses both a SSD and an internal HDD. The Solid State Device is used for the operating system, files and other fast booting date. The standard Hard Disk is used for storage of files and documents.
MSI promises that the battery life will be super long on the Wind U115 netbook, this is thanks to ECO mode which helps to extend the runtime. The new netbook will ship with a 3-cell battery, but there will be a 6-cell battery option.
The MSI Wind U115 netbook will use the new Intel Atom Z530 CPU and will run on Windows XP. There is to be two versions of the device, the difference is only with the storage. The choice will be an 8GB SSD and a 120GB HDD, or a 16GB SSD and a 160GB HDD. Both netbooks come with 1GB of Ram, but will support 2GB. The device comes with integrated 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity as standard, and has the option of Bluetooth. As yet there are no details on the pricing.
