Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 PC: Like Nintendo Wii and iMac
Filed under: Computers, Desktops

Lenovo have been looking at a number of ways where they are able to create a more user friend PC, and they looked to the Nintendo Wii and Apple iMac for inspiration. The new Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 all-in-one PC comes with a remote control that also doubles as a motion-based gaming controller, mush like the Wiimote.
The new Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 is also like the iMac where is combines a monitor which also houses the CPU and all the other hardware. To see what the new computer will be like, just make your way to CES 2009 later this week.
The remote in the new PC allows the user to interact more with a video game, where you can wave and point the game controller at the computer. Lenovo knew how popular the Nintendo Wii was with gamers, which is why they wanted to add this popular feature.

Great that they spent all this effort on a motion based remote to play games on a nice high res monitor BUT THEY FORGOT THE GRAPHICS CHIP!! Which is the first most important thing in any gaming rig… you cant do B and C without A!
in this case the high res monitor makes things worse because you cant play the games at such a high setting with such a low power card which means you need to scale down the resolution to almost half of what HD is which will make the game look much worse then if it was actually played on an old monitor at its native resolution.
Great idea, bad follow through. UNLESS you dont plan on gaming with it.
