Windows 7 Beta 1 vs. Vista and XP OS

When Windows Vista was first announced, XP users could not wait to see what changes Microsoft had made to the OS. Once Vista was launched, all that curiosity turned to anger as the new operating system was not that stable and users experienced a number of problems. Microsoft are now hoping to put all that behind them, and their first step is Windows 7 Beta 1, but what are the three like when they are pitted against each other.
What will Windows 7 Beta 1 be like in a performance test against Vista and XP? That is a question that many people would like to know the answer to, so ZD Net thought that they would run a few test to see if they could come up with the answer.
You have to remember that the test that was performed on Windows 7 (build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400), which as we know is a beta build. So just remember that beta builds are designed more for stability rather than performance.
