Acer launches Aspire 8930G with Intel Core 2 Quad-Core CPU
Filed under: Computers, Laptops

Laptops have come a long way in a short amount of time, and it is the speed of processors that have helped in the evolution of the laptop. Acer has decided to give their notebooks another leap, by introducing an Intel Core 2 Quad-Core CPU in to their Aspire 8930G laptop.
There are many of you asking if a laptop truly needs a quad-core CPU in a laptop, but it will help speed things up, as well as running much cooler than a dual core CPU. The processor has a Front Side Bus of 1066 MHz, 12MB of shared L2 cache and a clock speed of up to 2.53 GHz.
The new processor in the Acer Aspire 8930G helps to increase the overall speed of the laptop, which in turn ads more realism to 3D games. For those of you who were already happy with the previous model, the Aspire 8920, then you will certainly like the new model. The Acer Aspire 8920G has a price tag of $1,799, which includes a Blu-ray player and the awesome Nvidia GeForce 9700 GPU.
