Walmart Apple iPhone 3G: Not sold online, in-store only
By: Daniel Chubb | December 29, 2008 | Leave a CommentIt’s certainly big news about the Apple iPhone 3G being sold at Walmart stores since Sunday, but it will be a while before we find out how much it affects sale figures. The $2 discount off the iPhone 3G will not help but the amount of Walmart stores will.
The revolutionary mobile phone comes in two prices and three options, you can buy the 8GB iPhone 3G at Walmart for $197.00 and $297.00 for the 16GB version in black or white. All these options require a “new line activation or eligible upgrade with 2-year AT&T contract”.
You should also be aware that the deal is not sold online at Walmart, it’s an in-store only deal. The key features of the iPhone 3G is the ability to have “Internet in your pocket”, a great widescreen iPod and the thousands of applications at the App Store, which include many free apps. Have you bought an iPhone at Walmart and if so what made you buy now?
