Walmart to sell iPhone 3G during after Christmas sale

It has been confirmed that US retailer Wal-Mart will begin to sell Apple’s 3G Iphone, starting on Sunday 28th December.

It had been previously rumoured that Wal-Mart will sell the phone at $99 in its stores, but this has turned out to be incorrect and the phone will be available for $197 (8GB model) and $297 (16GB Model).

Both prices there are still subject to a two year contract with AT&T and Walmart have said that they aim to introduce further discounts by promising to match lower iPhone 3G prices that are available elsewhere.
