There is a report from Gamasutra that a number of the Crackdown development team have got together to create a new studio. It is rumored that they are to start work on Crackdown 2, lead designer Billy Thomson is just one of the guys involved.
The new dev studio is called Ruffian Games and is based in Scotland. As yet the rumor of crackdown 2 has yet to be made official, but we certainly hope that they are. The first game has done very well on the Xbox 360, and Microsoft who own the intellectual property for the franchise said that they are happy to assign the game to a developer of their choice.
If the rumors are true that Ruffian is in fact working on Crackdown 2, then the Xbox 360 game is in the very early development stage. Once we learn more about the sequel, we will update you with all the details.
