Runes of Magic’s beta exceeds 100,000 characters

Frogster Interactive have announced that Runes of Magic’s open beta has now exceeded their expectations, as over 100,000 characters were created in the first few hours of going live. Frogster Interactive also said how pleased they were at how smooth the start went, despite the heavy rush of players.

The international community has had to be spread over seven servers, due to the high number of players. Even though this is the beta stage of Runes of Magic, it shows that how popular it has been and how popular it will get in the future.

Frogster has also noticed a huge increase in registrations on Monday, out of the 220,000 registrations more than 20,000 accounts were created on Monday alone. Over 2 million quests have now been completed in just 200,000 hours of combined playing time.
