No Steve Jobs keynote at Apple’s Macworld show
By: Peter Chubb | December 17, 2008 | Leave a CommentApple has announced that CEO, Steve Jobs will not be attending the keynote at Apple’s Macworld show in 2009. That is not all; this will be the last Macworld show which has been made famous by some great keynote speeches from Jobs.
As usual the news that Jobs will not be attending has started of rumors of his health; however Apple have declined to comment on this. Marketing Chief Phil Schiller will be on hand to replace Steve this year. Apple’s Steve Dowling has said “this will be our last year.”
You have to wonder why Apple has decided to abandon Macworld, as the media attention that it creates is worth the cost to put the event on. Macworld almost guarantees headlines in business publication as well as newspaper headlines as well as some of the top blogs.
