Mac OS X 10.5.6, an update to Apple’s Leopard operating system has been causing a host of problems, some of which has seen user’s computers crashing. The update was meant to fix and improve a number of areas in the operating system, but is seems that the update has caused more harm than good.
Some of the problems include broken Bluetooth connections, as well as dead USB ports and popping noises while booting up. Many users who have installed Mac OS X Update 10.5.6 report that after installation their Macs remain frozen on “configuring setup.”
The way round this problem is to do a forced restart; this will return your Mac to 10.5.5. A number of users have found different ways to fix their systems, but as yet, there is not one solution that fixes all these problem. Has your system crashed since you updated your Mac OS X to 10.5.6?

The update has caused Firefox not to present. I click on the Firefox icon and the dock shows that Firefox is open, but nothing appears on my screen. I have to go to “window” and click on “zoom” for Firefox to appear.
I think we are in a new era for Apple. Macs and all of the Mac programs will now be as glitched and problematic as the MS ones. iTunes for Mac is starting to be glitchy for the AIFF format and discs burned by the user using iTunes, and there are other problems.
I have no other reasons to think that Mac will be having MSlike problems except a “feel” to my Mac and its applications. Having been a Mac user for a very long time, I think a users observations about the “feel” of a machine should be given some consideration for validity.
Damn crashed my machine as described in your article.
Mine froze on reboot and indeed a forced restart fixed. But then all my apps died. WTF is apple doing to fix this. Where is the press release. Another example that as apple get bigger, quality decreases.
Luckily i don’t seem to be able to install this update, so i don’t think i’ll bother. I haven’t been using a mac for long (1 year or so) and i’ve never encountered any problems until now.
