Dell Inspiron Mini 12 not just Vista, now Ubuntu Linux and XP

The Dell Inspiron 12 has already been doing very well with their Vista only option, but they understand that not everyone likes Vista. Dell is now offering two other operating systems, Ubuntu and Windows XP.

As you would expect, none of the hardware has changed but the pricing has. The Dell Inspiron Mini 12 with a 1.33GHz processor and running on Ubuntu will cost just $499. If that CPU is not fast enough for you, then you can choose the 1.66 GHz instead.

The Dell Inspiron 12 has a 12.1-inch widescreen TrueLife Display, 40GB to 60GB hard drive, memory starts at 1GB, as well as an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500. You also get the choice of a 6 cell battery, giving you over 6 hours of battery life.
