Xbox 360 and Sony PS3: Developers have mixed views

Developers have a constant battle on their hands, as they have mixed views as to what is the easiest games console to develop games for, the Sony PS3 or the Xbox 360. Some developers prefer to work on games for the Xbox 360 as it is less complex, but some prefer to work on the PS3 as they feel that the end result of a game is better.

Square Enix developer Hiroshi Takai has dealt a blow to Sony, by saying that the Xbox 360 is “a lot easier” to work with than the PS3. Takai has said that he hopes that his next project will be on the Xbox 360.

It is not the first time that a RPG developer has endorsed the 360, and the fact that Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery and Final Fantasy XIII are on the Xbox 360 is proof enough. It seems that it is not just gamers who are looked in a battle between the Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360, developers are also locked in the battle, will it ever end?

    “will it ever end?”

    Quick anser: No.

If you want the long one, let me know.

I’m curious to know which games developers feel “the end result is better on PS3″ as all the comparisons I’ve seen the 360 is slightly better.

I don’t think you’ll find developers that have very mixed views about which console is harder to program, they pretty much all agree that it’s the PS3’s cell, it’s just that some of them don’t complain about the extra workload and have praised the things it does well instead, now how about some news or “product reviews” that arent just flamebait aimed at getting cheap hits from fanboys?
