God of War III in 1080p on Playstation 3

Gaming site Tawkn.com has provided us with some screenshots of God of War in 1080p glory. The screenshots come from the trailer that was recently showcased at the Video Game Awards.
There are 11 of them in total and clicking each one on the site will let you view a larger version in HD.
The visuals for this game are looking stunning and even though the trailer released was very brief it still gave fans something to look forward to next year.

MGS4 Support 480p 720p and 1080p. I have the box and it clearly states that. Out of the games I have it is stunning. I have a 46inch Samsung 1080p television and I can tell you ever single pixel is utilized. Unlike most games that I’ve been looking at buying which run at 720p. I believe that most games developer have not learned to use the PS3’s power. Then again it might be that they just want to pump out as much games across the 2 powerhouse consoles (PS3 and XBOX 360) than to take time and make graphically beautiful game. I really want to see what God of War 3 will bring to the table.

Sigh… yes because that’s the TV resolution supported! You can run it at 1080p as I mentioned already, because it is upscaled from 1024*768, not because it’s running natively in 1080p (1920*1080).
Numerous games on PS3 and 360 actually run at less than 720p. Chances are you have some of them, games such as COD4 (600p) and even GTA4 (630p on PS3) http://game-on-game.com/gta-4-goes-1120×630-on-ps3, and many more.
Think you’ll see 600p or 630p listed on the back of the box then? Nope, of course not, what you’ll see listed are the TV resolutions of 720p and 1080p, because the game will be upscaled to those resolutions. The same is true for MGS4.

Same with 360, same with all consoles. The longer they’re out, the more devs learn to push them further.
Well dont know shytez bout 1080i or 720p,but people should calibrate their t.v bestbuy hooked mine and I was shocked at how sharp and clear the graphics are and enhanced sound too…just thought maybe should look into it its worth it…..cheers!
